In 1972, Arnold Hayes was running for Sheriff of Maries County in Vienna, Missouri.

In July of that year, while sitting outside his home, Arnold Hayes was ambushed, shot and killed.

Two men where arrested in connection to Arnold’s murder but were later released “pending further investigation”. Despite the evidence investigators did have, no one was ever charged.

Arnold’s family has long sought justice and answers to the questions surrounding his murder.

Even with multiple suspects and motives for investigators to follow up on the case has long gone cold.
