It has been two decades since the lives of the Giorgianni family changed forever. It was February 1999 when Kelly Giorgianni’s half-clothed body was discovered by a woman picking up beer bottles at an abandoned house on Market Street in Jacksonville.

Keith Dinkins was an intelligent and ambitious young man. He had many dreams and was well on his way to making a good life for himself and his family. He loved his family and was looking forward to fatherhood.

Dinkins had a dream of opening his own barbershop. According to Sierra Johnson, the mother of Dinkins’ son, there were no hair stores on the Eastside of Jacksonville where they resided. Every time he visited other hair stores, Dinkins would ask questions about opening his own shop. Read more

It’s been 19 years, but Ricardo Tillman, Sr. still cherishes the memories of his son.

Tillman says not a day goes by that he and his wife don’t think about their son or talk about him. His son, Ricardo Tillman, Jr., was stabbed on March 19, 2000, and died from an infection related to his wounds several weeks later. Ricardo, who went by ‘Rico,’ was 20 years old and a standout football player at Jacksonville University. Read more

This month will mark 25 years since Tina Sue Heins was brutally murdered in her apartment.

In the early morning hours on April 17, 1994, the Livernash family of Wisconsin Rapids received the most shocking, devastating, phone call of their lives.

“I couldn’t believe it at first,” Chad Livernash said. “I was in shock.”

His 20-year-old pregnant sister, Tina Heins, had been murdered earlier that day in Jacksonville, Florida. Heins was brutally stabbed 27 times in her apartment in Mayport. Her husband, Jeremy, was on duty at the Mayport Naval Base at the time of his wife’s murder. Read more
