Frances Ann Gordon, or Frankie to those that knew and loved her, was a 37-year-old mother, wife, daughter, sister, family member, and friend to countless individuals still waiting for answers in her unsolved murder.

On October 1, 1996, more than 21-years-ago, Frankie’s body was found under debris, near a business on Waller Street on the Westside of Jacksonville, FL. She had been beaten to death with a blunt object and dumped. For more than two decades her family and friends have waited for answers. Why? Who?

Recently, Frankie’s story was featured as part of a local television cold case series, Project: Cold Case Episode 1, Frances “Frankie” Gordon. That series was formed through a partnership with Action News Jax, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and Project Cold Case, Inc. in hopes of raising awareness and renewing interest in cold cases. Our unified goal is to bring answers, resolution, and justice to Jacksonville families that have lost a loved one to an unsolved homicide.
